I am at a loss as to were to make dinner reservations ahead of time. This is our first trip to disney . We have two daughters age 5 and 7. please help

    Hi Janet,

How wonderful you're coming to Disney World for the first time, your girls are at a lovely age to enjoy the magic.

There are so many fantastic restaurants in WDW and it really depends on what your daughters are into as to where you should eat. If they love Mickey and his gang you can't go wrong with Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort or the Garden Grill in Epcot, we especially love the Garden Grill as the character interaction is fantastic and the restaurant rotates whilst you're dining. If they love the Princesses how about dining at Akershus at the Norway pavilion in Epcot, this is another character meal and often has Belle, Snow White, Jasmine and Aurora. The Princesses are subject to change though. We personally like the breakfast as my fussy girls won't eat the Norwegian food offered at lunch or dinner. Another princess meal is held at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian, Cinderella's gala feast is a really nice buffet and the characters we saw there were Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine and the 2 step-sisters they were hilarious. Lastly my girls favourite is Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom, again it is a character buffet with Winnie the Pooh and friends.

For non-character meals can I suggest Coral Reef in Epcot, you dine beside the living seas tank and can watch the fish, turtles etc as you dine. Another fun one is Sci-Fi at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the restaurant is set up to look like a drive through movie and you actually sit in cars to eat whilst watching old movie clips.

To see all the menus and a brief description of all Disney's restaurants click HERE and choose dining then menus. Also you can now book your advanced dining reservations up to 90 days before your trip by calling 407-939-3463 which I definitely recommend you do!

I'm sure where ever you choose you'll have a fantastic time,

    Jo
