    Hi! We are looking to come to Disney World late January/Early February 2025. We are most excited to ride the new Tiana ride (splash mountain). If the ride is opening summer 2024, is there still a chance there could be a refurbishment in the winter 2025?

    Welcome back to planDisney! There is nothing better than helping our friends plan magical Disney vacations, so we are so glad that you are here with us. 

    I feel just as much excitement to climb a mountain and cross a river with the Princess herself on Tiana's Bayou Adventure.  I can't wait to see how Disney Imagineers bring these funny, charming, thoughtful characters to life in this special place. It's going to be fantastic. Not to mention, with an anticipated opening date of late Summer 2024, I think we will all welcome a chance to cool off from the Orlando sun down in New Orleans!

    While we can't know for sure this far out, it would be unlikely that a new attraction would need refurbishment so soon, outside of a mechanical problem. The best way to keep informed about the crew in the bayou would be to follow Disney Parks Blog for any announcements about planned refurbishments. Then you can plan accordingly. 

    I know early 2025 must feel far away, Marisa, but it will be here before you know it! To help pass the time until your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I have two quick suggestions:

    1. Check out the incredible Princess Tiana merchandise at DisneyStore.com. (That play dress is kind of irresistible.)

    2. If you have an Alexa device, check out Hey Disney! There are plenty of jokes, books, sounds, games, and character interactions to keep you entertained until it's time to pack those bags and make your way to Walt Disney World Resort.
