We are looking to come to Aulani through the DVC for our Honeymoon summer of 2020. I'm nervous with it not being an all-inclusive resort and with the Disney-family feel it won't be the blissful honeymoon atmosphere we're looking for.

    Aloha Katelyn,

Congratulations on your engagement and upcoming wedding! I love weddings, but having planned two (one in the United States and one in Scotland), I completely understand your desire for serenity on your honeymoon!

Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa is a beautiful family vacation destination, but I think there is no more perfect place to honeymoon than the Hawaiian islands! The weather is perfection, the pace is relaxed, and the Resort offers romantic tranquility with an exceptional Disney touch.

To kick off your bliss, book a Couples Treatment in the Laniwai Spa. The Honihoni “Sealed with a Kiss” Duet is the ultimate in luxurious relaxation. Afterward, the two of you can indulge in Kula Wai, the spa’s outdoor hydrotherapy garden. It is full of lush foliage, soaking tubs and inviting private pools. Your spa experience is not exclusive to Laniwai, as you can enjoy the adults-only double-terraced whirlpool spa overlooking the ocean at ‘Aloha Point. If you stop by the Wailana Pool Bar beforehand, you can bring a cocktail with you!

IF you decide to venture out of the Resort, take a couples horseback ride through the lush Kualoa Ranch. After the ride, you can enjoy lunch on a private beach followed by a catamaran adventure. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, finish your evening beachside at ‘AMA’AMA, where local, fresh ingredients will send you to culinary bliss. If you try the lemongrass crème catalana, will you come back and let me know how delicious it was? I’ve been dying to try it!

Katelyn, I wish you the best in planning your Happily Ever After!
