Just looking to see which weeks we have the most options on places to stay in 2024. Traveling with a party of 6 adults and 2 children

Hi there, Kelsey! Welcome to planDisney. We're so happy you're here!

I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning on visiting Walt Disney World Resort next year! As you might be able to tell, we love every part of the planning process and would be happy to point you in the right direction for your upcoming vacation. Let's talk about the best times of year to visit in 2024!

Kelsey, since Guests are making reservations for Walt Disney World Resort at all times, availability is constantly changing and we won't be able to tell which weeks will have the most options. However, I can tell you which times of year should be less busy, which will likely offer you the best availability! If your dates are at all flexible, here are my recommendations:

    • Try to avoid visiting the week before or after a major holiday, as well as during runDisney events. These bring in a lot of crowds, making availability a little more limited.
    • Weekends are also often busier than weekdays, so you might want to focus your park days accordingly. You may even want to do an online search for Walt Disney World Resort crowd calendars to help you narrow down your options!
    • Personally, I enjoy visiting sometime between February and April (beautiful weather without being too humid yet!), making sure to avoid holidays such as President's Day and Easter. If there's a holiday when kids are out of school and adults are off of work, it tends to make the parks a little more crowded! I also love the holiday season from October through the first half of December, making sure to avoid Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples Day, and Thanksgiving.
    • But the most important tip of all: book as early as you can! Since Disney Resorts Collection hotels are constantly booked around the clock, you're going to have the best availability if you book earlier – so don't wait! When you book a vacation package that includes a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel and tickets, you'll be asked to pay a deposit, with your remaining balance due 30 days prior to your arrival date. This deposit is also refundable up until 30 days before your vacation, so if anything needs to be changed or modified before then, this makes that option easy!
Of course, if you have any other questions, you are welcome to call a friendly Cast Member! They'll be happy to help you with the next steps that are available to you. And if you have any other planning questions, please visit us again – after all, you've got a friend in me!
