I am looking for ways to save money on dining. My plans for my October trip consists of a few breakfasts and dinners. I am an annual pass holder. Do you think the Disney Dining Experience is something I should consider buying and is it worth it for me?

    Hi Robert,

I'm an annual pass holder too. I purchased the Disney Dining Experience card for the first time this year and have been extremely happy with the savings! (And that's just from my first trip using it, I have a few more coming up, so my savings will keep coming.) You can see from a more detailed answer I gave here that the you break even using the DDE card if you spend more than $300 on table service dining in a year at WDW. Bear in mind that this $300 can include the food purchases of others you are dining with (up to 10 people) and expenditures on alcohol with your meals. If you factor that in, it's pretty easy to make the DDE card worth your while.

So, without knowing your exactly eating patterns (if you only eat counter service, then it's not worth it) or how much time you'll spend at WDW this year, it's difficult to make an absolutely definitive recommendation. But for me, it's been a great savings tool.

    Hope this helps.
