We are looking to visit November 2012 arriving Sunday after Thanksgiving. Can you advise on the crowd level and possible free dining offers? Thank you!

    Hi Margaret,

From a crowd standpoint, the week after Thanksgiving is an excellent time to visit Walt Disney World. Once the Thanksgiving holiday crowds leave on the Sunday or Monday after turkey day, the parks will be blissfully empty until the week before Christmas. The 2012 Walt Disney World Birnbaum official guide lists the week after Thanksgiving as one of the least crowded times.

Unfortunately, I don't have as good news about free dining. Special offers for the end of 2012 have not yet been announced, so I can't tell you with absolutely certainty about what will happen. However, I can tell you that historically, this has not been a time in which free dining has been offered. Over the last several years, there have been free dining offers available in the period between late August and early October, also a low-crowd time of year.

Good luck with your planning and please let us know if you have additional questions.
