Hi there, David!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks for coming by. Your question hits close to home because in addition to being a fellow pet owner, I'm also a veterinarian. So I know how important it is to find a facility that you can trust to watch over your furry friend while you are in the Parks!
I'm sorry to say that the
Disneyland Kennel Club did not reopen with the rest of the Disneyland Resort after the pandemic closure. At this time, Disney has announced no plans for the Kennel Club. I can understand how difficult a loss this is, because the Disneyland Kennel Club seemed like a
wonderful place to leave your pet! It's been such an important part of Disneyland Park's history, opening as the Ken-L Land Pet Motel in 1958 and operating steadily until 2020.
There are some possibilities for you to still bring your pet on vacation with you, however. There are many
Good Neighbor Hotels that are labeled Pet Friendly and will allow you to leave your pet in the room while you enjoy a day at the Parks. You could also perform an Internet search for pet boarding facilities in the area.
Whatever you decide to do with your pet, it's always nice to include them somehow in your trip. I like to bring a little something back for my Golden Retriever Lilo whenever I visit the Parks. I love adding just a touch of Disney to my dog's everyday life, so she has a Disney mat on which she eats and a Disney food bowl!
David, I wish I had more magical news about the Kennel Club for you. Nevertheless, I hope that helped to answer your question. If you need any further planning tips or advice, please feel free to reach out to us again anytime!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
