Hi Amanda, thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! There’s nothing more exciting than planning a Disney vacation, so let’s discuss hotel options for your family’s trip, starting with booking.
Currently,
Disney Resort hotels can be reserved through the end of December. Last year, 2025 booking opened in late February, so we should hear more news soon on when you can book 2026 hotel stays. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement.
For
Disney Partner Hotels, including those in the Disney Springs Resort Area, packages through the
Disney World website will likely open for booking around the same time. But I spoke to a Cast Member and she said it can vary since they’re not owned by Disney. If you're not looking for a vacation package, you may be able to book a room directly through the Disney Partner Hotels earlier.
Now let’s talk about room types! While many Disney Resort hotels have adjoining rooms, they aren’t guaranteed. You can
call and add the request to your reservation, but I’d recommend booking lodging with more than one room if you’re looking for a bit more space for your ‘ohana!
The good news is that there are plenty of Disney Resort hotel options that are bigger than a standard hotel room. One of my favorites is the Family Suites at the
Art of Animation Resort because you're transported into your favorite movies! You can book Family Suites themed to Lion King, Cars, and Finding Nemo that have two bathrooms, a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a living room with a double-sized Murphy bed and double-sized sofa bed, and a kitchenette.
I also love that this resort is on the
Disney Skyliner, making it a breeze to get to
EPCOT and
Hollywood Studios. This Disney transportation makes it feel like you’ve checked off a fun attraction before even stepping foot into one of the theme parks!
Like Art of Animation Resort,
All-Star Movies Resort also has Family Suites and these will be two of your more affordable options. If you’re looking for something with a full kitchen, check out the
Deluxe Villas or the
Cabins at Fort Wilderness.
Now moving over to the Disney Partner Hotels, some of the Disney Springs Resort Area hotels also have options with multiple rooms. These include Drury Plaza Hotel’s 2 Room Suites, DoubleTree Suites, and Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Palace’s 1-Bedroom Suites. Disney Partner Hotels offer complimentary transportation to the theme parks, but might not run as often as the transportation at Disney Resort hotels. So if that’s important to you, give the hotel a call to confirm the theme park transportation schedule.
I hope this helps you decide on the perfect resort hotel for your family! If you have any other questions before your trip, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
