I was looking at how much my vacation with my husband and two year old daughter will cost. In doing so I found the option to Prepurchase the photo pass photos. Was wondering if it was worth it and what it I tells since I would love to have pics of my girl.

    Hi Robin,

The PhotoPass and now Memory Maker option are really a personal choice for guests staying at the Walt Disney World Resorts. I have been on vacation with and without it.

When you use this option, Disney's photographers are there to help you capture the memories. They only put the best pictures to the site. They understand lighting and positioning to set the stage for a great picture. They also allow everyone in the party to be in the picture without asking another guest to take the picture for you. Finally, some pictures come with extra features in them once they are uploaded to your account. Plus your attraction and dining photos can be added if you have select photo packages.

Once you have the pictures, you can upload your photos to the site to be able to purchase photo albums and other photo merchandise.

I know a fellow mom who only uses PhotoPass photographers for all of her Disney pictures. She just does not want to carry a camera.

Personally, I do not purchase the PhotoPass as I have a resident photographer. I may purchase one or two photos from our trip. When I was given the gift of accessing all of my pictures, I did use it and made a great book. I would consider pre-purchasing the PhotoPass if I was going on a special trip.

You can grab a free PhotoPass card from any Disney photographer and purchase individual shots you like.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
