We're looking at a trip to DW the week of Dec. 18-24 next year. How crowded are the parks at that time compared to the week between Christmas and New Year's?

    Hi John!

You'll love Disney in December! Its one of my favorite times to visit, since I love the holiday decorations and the cooler weather!

Most often, December sees comparatively low crowds through the first weeks of the month with the crowds building towards Christmas Day. Once schools go on break, more visitors will arrive at the parks and resorts. Usually, the week between Christmas and New Years is a peak week with high attendance.

Early in December, many of the holiday events at the Magic Kingdom will occur during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Once Christmas week arrives, the parties will cease and special holiday events will become part of  the daily schedule for the park.

Whichever week you choose, I'm sure you'll have a great time celebrating the holidays at Walt Disney World.

    Enjoy!
