Hi, we are looking at a trip to Disney World December 27-January 3. What are some must do/see things during this time? We have been to Disney World 7 times but never in December. Always in May or July. Also, will we be able to swim or will it be too cold?

    Hi Nicole!

I love visiting the Walt Disney World Resort at any time of the year, but I absolutely adore all of the exciting events that happen during the holiday season!  Not only are all of the pixie-dusted events and decorations fabulous, but the weather is also gorgeous!  Plus, you can always go for a swim since the pools are heated to 82 degrees year-round!

Although all of the parks have special holiday offerings, one event you won't want to miss is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park!  With a special parade and fireworks spectacular, treats, and so much more, it is an amazing way to get into the holiday spirit!  Also, make sure you check out all of the incredible food and entertainment at the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays!  You can even catch some holiday cheer at Disney's Hollywood Studios and a special Diwali-themed version of UP! A Great Bird Adventure at Disney's Animal Kingdom!

To ring in the new year, make sure you check out the Disney Countdown to Midnight: A New Year's Eve Celebration, and keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for new and exciting announcements as the holiday season gets closer!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
