    Hi, We're looking to travel from the UK next May. It will be me, my husband, my 7 year old daughter & 4 year old son. We're looking at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, is this very far away from the Disney World park please?

    I hope that you're having lots of fun dreaming about a Disney vacation and planning an incredible trip for your family to enjoy next May! I'm so glad that you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel so that we can celebrate and plan with you!

    My family stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter last fall and absolutely LOVED it! Its relaxed and jazzy New Orleans vibe and cobblestone streets felt completely dreamy and I'm happy to let you know that you'll be right in the middle of the magic if you make that your home away from home. Because it's a smaller Resort hotel, regardless of where your room is, you won't be far from complimentary Disney transportation. You'll find a bus stop conveniently located near the front of the Resort with buses to take you to the front gate of each of the four theme parks in somewhere between 5 and 20 minutes, depending on which park you're going to and what current traffic conditions are like. Plus, you'll be a short, relaxing ferryboat ride away from Disney Springs and all of the fantastic shopping, dining, and entertainment available there. I really think you'll love staying at this Resort hotel! Of course, two must-do tips I have for you are to stop at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory for some Mickey-shaped Beignets (mmm...) and make sure you enjoy some live music either at Scat Cat's Club or with Yehaa Bob Jackson at River Roost Lounge next door at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. SO much fun!
