    Looking for travel insurance, any recommendations on who to go with? I have family that is ill and we are concerned if we have to cancel or leave early if anything could be covered. We have hotel through DVC but have not purchased tickets or meal plan yet

    Hi Chelsea!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I’m so sorry that you have an ill family member, Chelsea. Travel insurance can be a good idea for many families and can cover a wide variety of issues that might occur. I often recommend for example, that families traveling during hurricane season consider travel insurance as well.

    You’ll be happy to know that Disney Vacation Club offers travel insurance for Members through a company called Travelex. You can purchase this insurance either online on the Disney Vacation Club Member Website or by calling Member Services. This policy offers coverage for trip cancellation or interruption, as well as other benefits such as baggage delay and car rental insurance.

    Guests who have booked a visit in a Deluxe Villa directly through Disney, you can purchase travel insurance by calling the Disney Reservation Center at 1-407-WDW-DISNEY, or your travel agent.
