I am looking to travel to AoA next year with 5 adults and 2 children, both which will be under 3 so 'free'... my question is can I book 1 family suite for the 5 adults and 2 kids or would Disney make us book a least two rooms?

Hi Dineen!  Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a great choice!  I recently had the opportunity to tour the resort with Alfredo, the General Manager.  I was so impressed with his passion for providing the utmost in hospitality to all his guests.  I'm sure you will feel well taken care of there.  The Family Suites are adorably themed.  Be sure to wander the grounds of the resort to see all the larger-than-life icons from some of your favorite Disney movies.  One thing I particularly noticed was how the landscaping and plant life changed to reflect the ambiance of each area of the resort.

For Walt Disney World Resort Hotels, the stated occupancy does not include a child under age 3 in a crib.  The Family Suites at Art of Animation sleep six guests PLUS a child under 3 in a crib, so your family of seven should be fine.  You may request a crib when making your reservation, or by calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line.

Disney's Art of Animation Resort will be served by the new Disney Skyliner transportation system, set to debut this fall.  Be sure to check it out during your visit!

Have a wonderful stay, and please let us know if we can answer any additional questions you may have.
