Hiya Laurie,
Thanks for stopping back at planDisney. There are plenty of things to consider when planning a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You need to find the right time of the year to visit, the perfect
Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your family, and of course the ticket option that works best for your adventures.
Hopefully you are planning to visit for more than one day which means you are probably considering a multi-day ticket option. The
standard ticket option will provide you with entrance into one theme park for each day of the ticket and is the least expensive ticket option. There are a few ticket upgrade options that can be added to the standard ticket including the
Park Hopper add-on. This add on gives you the ability to visit more than one theme park on the same day. After entering the first theme park, you would be able to enter another theme park (based on capacity limitations) after 2pm. And, if you are really adventurous, the Park Hopper will actually give you the chance to enter as many theme parks as you would like after 2pm as long as there are no capacity limitations and it is during theme park operating hours. There is an additional option (Park Hopper Plus Option) which would add not only the Park Hopper benefit but also entry to the waterparks as well as a few additional options if you are looking for even more options.
Having the Park Hopper added to your ticket is a great feature as it gives you the opportunity to move around amongst the theme parks each day. You could start your day with breakfast at
Magic Kingdom and end your day enjoying
Harmonious at
EPCOT. There is an additional cost for this feature though and it must be added to your entire ticket length so it could add a substantial amount of money to your vacation depending on the number of days on your ticket and the size of your party. If you prefer to focus on one theme park each day, the standard ticket will work just great. If you are a family that loves to start early and move from one theme park to another, then the Park Hopper option is something you will want to add.
As a reminder, you will need to make a theme park reservation for the first theme park you will be visiting each day regardless of the type of ticket you select. If I can help with any further planning questions, please stop by and
see me.
T-T-F-N (Ta-Ta for now),
