Hey there, Stephen! Welcome to planDisney, we are so excited you plan on visiting Walt Disney World Resort next summer. Your family will have the most magical time, and I am happy to help you today!
Stephen, since you have a family of six, I suggest looking at booking a Family Suite at
Disney's All-Star Music Resort, or a themed family suite at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Both resorts had recent renovations in their rooms, and they are beautiful! Both suites sleep up to six guests, and come equipped with two bathrooms, which will make getting ready for a day at the theme parks so much easier! Stephen, both resorts also offer fun family activities to do during the day, including
arcades,
Movies Under the Stars, and crafts as a few examples. You can check out the resort recreation schedule in the lobby of the resort, as well as in the resort recreation flyer found in your room. No visit to Walt Disney World is complete without a pool day! Make sure to take a "resort day" during your visit and spend the day at the pool, and have fun together. My family and I usually have our resort day in the middle of our visit.
Another great money-saving idea is eating breakfast in your room before going to the theme parks. Many families opt to have
groceries delivered to their resort ahead of their arrival, or pick up groceries in their resort gift shop. Bell services will be happy to hold your groceries for you until you arrive, then which you can pick them up, or have bell services delivered to your room for a small fee. Keep in mind grocery delivery may be
subject to availability at your resort.
One final activity I recommend is playing a round of miniature golf at
Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf, or
Winter Summerland Miniature Golf. Both golf courses can be booked in advance by calling (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529. Stephen, I hope all of these suggestions help you plan a fantastic visit to Walt Disney World. As always, please stop by again with any other questions you may have. Happy planning!
