Hi Brooke,
I wanted to answer this question because I am one of the "elder statesmen" of the Moms Panel. You may not want to count us older folks out of the fun at the theme parks. My husband and I still enjoy spending time at the parks and can run with the younger ones if we have to.
Our favorite theme park is Epcot and especially World Showcase. Traveling around the world eating, drinking and shopping is a great way to spend the day. With many places to sit and relax it's perfect for those who don't want to spend the day running from ride to ride.
Affectionately known as the "monorail crawl", you can hop on at any monorail resort, sample the cocktails at each hotel and then hop back on again to check out the next hotel. With three hotels on the route, you can spend an entire afternoon not having to walk far at all. Add in shopping at the resorts and exploring the beautiful grounds at each, and you have yourself another relaxing day. While there are not scheduled resort tours, any Cast Member would be happy to answer questions and point out the wonderful features of their resort.
Spa time is also great for some down time. With several world class
Spas on property, your folks may enjoy the day being spoiled and pampered by the wonderful staff. Both of the Senses Spas have full services including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures.
Spending time with a large group at the Walt Disney World Resort can be tricky but I know that you have considered everyone in your traveling party which will make your trip go smoothly. Relax and enjoy making memories.
Be Magical,
Leanne T.
