Hi Jacey,
I may be in the minority, but I LOVE planning and budgeting for all things, especially a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! First, one thing I will say is that aside from a few set costs, you will be able to control your costs to fit your own personal budget, and a magical day at the theme parks isn't contingent upon a lot of extra spending. With that said, some things like
parking are already set, which is currently $22 per day for a standard vehicle without a preferred parking location. As for souvenirs, we usually tell our kids ahead of time how much we're giving each one of them to spend, and if they want something beyond that, they have to cover it with their own money. One of our very favorite souvenirs to collect is a
pressed penny, and that only costs 51 cents!
As for food, I generally plan on around $10 - $15 per adult entree and $6 - $8 per child entree with drink at a Counter service location. Adult drinks will cost a few dollars more, but glasses of ice water are free. You'll find
menus with current pricing online to help you with your budgeting and planning. Don't forget about snacks, too, as they're some of the best Disney dining! I usually budget an average of $6 per snack. One great budget tip I have is to purchase a refillable popcorn bucket at the beginning of your trip. You'll be able to refill it for a small fee ($1.50 on my last visit) as many times as you'd like throughout your stay! Yum! And did you know
you're allowed to bring your own food and drinks? That can help save some money as well!
Please let us know if you have any other questions, Jacey, and have a magical vacation!
Missy
