Hi Amy! Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I completely understand your dilemma! With over
25 Resort Hotels each with its own unique ambiance and amenities, it is so hard to choose! I'm glad you have already narrowed your choices down a bit to the three
Deluxe Resorts on the
monorail loop, and you are right: all are great choices. Let's chat about some things to consider to help you decide.
I'd think about what time of year you might like to plan your visit, which parks you plan to spend the most time at, and whether there are any special events you might like to attend. For example, if you think you might be partying late into the night at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party,
Disney's Contemporary Resort is a great choice because it is within walking distance to
Magic Kingdom Park. Within moments of leaving the park, you can be resting your head back in your room. Planning a visit during the
holiday season?
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is absolutely breathtaking at that time of year!
Another consideration is dining. Are there particular restaurants that you've been wanting to try or are your favorites? It would be nice to have your
dining choices conveniently located at your resort.
I'd also think about which atmosphere suits your family best. While Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is elegant and beautiful and Disney's Contemporary Resort is an iconic symbol of the original vacation kingdom, for me the choice is
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. I love the retro tiki vibe of this resort, and having
Dole Whip readily available steps from my room is a bonus!
Amy, I'm sure no matter which resort you decide upon, it will be a wonderful choice! Don't forget to keep your eye on the
Special Offers page for potential resort hotel or vacation package discounts for your stay. Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you may have as you
plan your trip. We are always happy to help.
