We are looking to stay at fort wilderness in March 2020. Can you pitch a tent on the 18x60 pad in addition to the RV? There will be 5 adults and 2 kids so we aren’t all trying to squeeze in the rv. However the RV is 43” plus the vehicle.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Melissa!

I am excited to hEAR that you are planning a great American RV adventure with a stop at the Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort!  I have been trying to talk my own father into packing up his RV to take all of us down to the house of mouse from Minnesota so we can experience this unique camping spot at Walt Disney World.  So far I have had no luck convincing him!  I am thrilled to be trying the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort in just two weeks as a close alternative.

After a call to the experts, I received confirmation that you cannot pitch a tent on the premium campsites that are 18 feet by 60 feet.  Tents are allowed on the full hook-up and preferred campsites only.  If you do need some extra space for all your explorers, you could consider booking an additional tent or pop-up campsite or one of the cabins.

During your stay, don't miss Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long!  I know when we camp, we always end the evening with a campfire and s'mores.  This is no different when camping at the Most Magical Place on Earth, EXCEPT where else do your Disney favorites join you to sing some old time cowboy songs?

Mosey on back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any other questions as you plan your getaway!

Enjoy planning the most enchanted camping trip ever!  See ya real soon!  Angie
