Hi! We are looking to stay at the Contemporary Resort in January of 2016 (11-16th). We don't won't to book insanely far in advance, but as we are travelling on a budget, it is essential that we can book a standard view room. When would you advise we book?

Hi Amanda,

I love that you are already planning your Walt Disney World vacation for 2016! This should help ahead of the deals if available during your stay.

You do not say where you are traveling from, and if you need to fly to Florida. If you want the best deal on flights and hotels, I would say book about 9-10 months in advance.

My concern with the timing of your trip is that it falls around the time of the Walt Disney World Marathon. This is a hugely popular weekend and some guests will definitely stay over during your vacation.

I would sign up for the Disney Parks Blog and follow it starting in January 2015. You can then see when the marathon is and then book your rooms accordingly. This event usually sells out so if budget is important you want to be booking your room around the time the marathon is announced.
