Hi Kathryn!
Walt Disney World Resort continually refreshes and re-imagines areas throughout the Resort to ensure guests have the best possible experience. With no off-season, guests are bound to see a bit of construction here and there during their visit. At Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, construction currently continues on the
Disney Skyliner transportation system and
Disney's Riviera Resort nearby, set to open for guests in December. I recently had the opportunity to visit
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, and while construction was visible, I didn't feel it had a huge impact on guests. The main construction project
within the Resort, Old Port Royale, is now complete (and lovely!)
I cannot even tell you how excited I am for the debut of the new
Disney Skyliner system this fall! While an official opening date has yet to be announced, fingers crossed the Skyliner will be fully operational for your October visit! I'm sure many people, like myself, are interested in testing it out. However, I wouldn't expect the Skyliner to bring crowds to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Perhaps some guests will be inspired to travel by Skyliner to dine at
Sebastian's Bistro, but overall in my opinion I don't think there will be a large increase of guests stopping by to visit Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
Enjoy your visit!
Anne Marie
