Well hello there, Jan! You are definitely talking my language when you start discussing food at
Walt Disney World. It's my favorite part of the vacation.
I will confirm your worry - some of the restaurants have REALLY generous portion sizes, and if you're someone who likes to sample the appetizers before the main course, you may not make it to dessert. We don't want to lose you halfway through the meal! With very few exceptions, most of the meals at Walt Disney World can be split, without a surcharge. Whew, there will be room for a Mickey bar later on!
As you might expect, the
Disney Dining Experiences where you wouldn't be able to share a meal include buffet restaurants and those serving family-style meals, where they just bring platters of food to your table based on the number of guests, and you can have refills of whatever you need. These would be places like
Chef Mickey's,
Boma, and
Liberty Tree Tavern, all of which are all you care to enjoy meals. You can browse the menus on the Disney website to help you determine which restaurants offer those types of meals.
If you'll be at
EPCOT during one of the
festivals, the festival food booths are excellent options to sample many dishes without getting too full. The booths offer tapas-style portions, and when you share, you can enjoy even more of the incredible offerings.
I hope you have a fantastic time enjoying the flavors of Walt Disney World, Jan! Thanks for stopping by.
Anna
