Hi there, Betty!
I’m so happy to welcome you back to planDisney! It’s always wonderful to hear from returning Guests, and we’re honored to be part of your vacation planning. Your question especially caught my attention because last spring I took a special mother-daughter trip with my own mom, and it was such a memorable experience. I’d love to help you find the perfect breakfast or brunch spot to celebrate Mother’s Day!
Let’s start with my absolute favorite breakfast at Walt Disney World Resort:
Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. This signature dining experience features a seated character breakfast with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy dressed in their artistic outfits. The menu is outstanding, with elevated breakfast dishes and pastries, the character interactions are some of the most memorable on property, and the sweeping views from the terrace after your meal are simply stunning. It’s such a special way to start the day.
If you’re hoping for something a bit more elegant,
The Cake Bake Shop at Disney’s BoardWalk offers a charming, upscale atmosphere with beautiful décor, decadent pastries, and indulgent breakfast favorites that feel perfect for a special occasion.
Over at Disney Springs,
The Boathouse is a wonderful choice for waterfront dining with classic brunch dishes, while
Summer House on the Lake delivers a light, coastal vibe with bright flavors and fresh baked goods. And for a comforting, Southern-inspired brunch,
Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is a must, offering flavorful dishes in a warm, welcoming setting.
Now, I know you specifically asked about breakfast and brunch, but I couldn’t resist sharing this as an extra idea. The Garden View Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is bringing back its beloved
Tea Room Experience, featuring a whimsical twist inspired by Alice in Wonderland. Guests can enjoy an elegant selection of teas, finger sandwiches, pastries, and sweets while being surrounded by playful, storybook-themed décor. It’s a charming way to treat yourself…especially for a special occasion like Mother’s Day!
Just a friendly reminder, since it looks like you're staying at a Disney Resort, you'll be able to
book your reservations 60 days before your check-in date. These spots tend to fill up fast, so booking early is the best way to make sure you get the experience you're hoping for!
Betty, I hope this gives you a great starting point as you plan a memorable outing with your daughter. If any other questions come up along the way, you’re always welcome here at planDisney. We’re happy to help make your plans practically perfect in every way!
Magical Wishes,
Kami
