Hey there, Lisa! Welcome back to planDisney!
You must be getting so excited about your upcoming vacation to
Walt Disney World Resort! I’m happy to hEAR that you’re planning to “Be Our Guest” at one of the more than 25 Disney Resorts Collection hotels on property.
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter was the Resort my family always stayed in when I was a child, so I have so many magical memories of sliding down the sea serpent slide at
Doubloon Lagoon and devouring some Mickey beignets!
Port Orleans - French Quarter is in a beautiful location that offers both bus and
Sassagoula River Cruise Ferry Boat transportation to the Parks and
Disney Springs, respectively. When heading to an incredible Character Dining Experience at
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge you're certainly in for a treat! Make sure to try some of the fantastical desserts like the Fairy Tale Gooseberry Tart and "Poison Apple"!
If you're planning on spending the morning in a Theme Park and returning to your Resort before dinner you have a couple of options when it comes to transportation. First, you're welcome to jump on a
Disney Bus that is headed toward Magic Kingdom. From here, you can board the Water Taxi to
Disney's Wilderness Lodge and enjoy taking in the sights of Bay Lake as you cruise to your
Advance Dining Reservation. If your dining reservation is in the evening you might even be lucky enough to catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks, Disney Enchantment, on your way back!
You also have the option of taking that beautiful Sassagoula River Cruise from your Resort to Disney Springs. After arriving at Disney Springs you'll be able to transfer to a bus headed to Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
I hope your stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth is one you'll remember forever!
