Hi Cristen!
Welcome to planDisney. I'm excited that you're planning to join the
Annual Passholder family. I purchased my first pass earlier this year and have been enjoying visits almost every month since. It's been a wonderful and budget-friendly way to add frequent doses of magic throughout the year.
Though I purchased my Disney Sorcerer Pass in April I didn't activate it until my visit at the end of May. I needed to show proof of my
Disney Vacation Club membership in order to activate it, but I was able to do so with a friendly Cast Member at the ticket window outside
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Keep in mind that if you are
purchasing an Annual Pass available exclusively for Florida residents you'll need to provide proof of eligibility at the time of purchase or activation.
My Annual Pass clock didn't officially begin until I scanned in at the parks for the first time so you don't have to worry about missing a minute of the fun if you purchase before you plan to visit. I was also able to book a resort room for my May visit using one of the
special offers and discounts for Passholders prior to activation. You'll want to keep an eye on that page to see if anything matches your travel dates.
Once you're enjoying your year of magic don't forget to mention your Annual Pass when dining and shopping. We've loved taking advantage of
discounts on select dining and merchandise as well as some of the Enchanting Extras! Discounts are subject to change but I make sure to show my card when completing any transaction. The savings do add up!
I hope this helps Cristen. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and let us know. We're always glad to help!
Magic and memories,
Amy
