Hi, Rachel, and welcome! You've come to the right place because we put the "plan" in planDisney! It sounds like you're putting the finishing touches on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort in March, so let's see what we can do to create some magic for you. I'm going to help you climb the mountain and cross the river because, as Tiana says, you're almost there!
Rachel, I hope you've had time to familiarize yourself with
My Disney Experience. You can use this planning tool through the
Walt Disney World Resort website before your trip to purchase Theme Park Tickets, make Theme Park Reservations, and book dining. And once you're in the parks, you can use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App on your phone to make and modify plans on the go! One of my favorite tips is to familiarize yourself with the app before your trip so that you can use it with ease and confidence during your visit.
Not to mix my movie references, but as we learned to do in Mulan, let's get down to business! There are so many aspects of a trip to Walt Disney World, but one thing to keep in mind is that you can plan as much or as little as you'd like. I think having a few solid plans in place is a good idea, but winging it is truly where the magic can happen. I always try to find a balance between the two.
Keeping that strategy in mind, you need to purchase your
Theme Park Tickets and make
Theme Park Reservations if you haven't already done so. You can choose
Standard Theme Park Tickets which allow you to enjoy one of the
four Theme Parks per day, or you can add the
Park Hopper Option to go from park to park. Regardless of which you choose, you'll need to make a Theme Park Reservation for the park you want to start with for each day of your visit. Once you know where you're going to be each day, then you can move on to some specific plans!
Rachel, I love to eat. Plain and simple. So booking a few
Table Service meals in advance is a must-do when I plan my visits. I typically try to secure one dining reservation a day because my family enjoys this time to relax and recharge our batteries....literally and figuratively! You're within the 60-day window, so you can book meals for the length of your stay now. I'd recommend exploring the available restaurants and their menus and making some reservations as soon as possible. One of my favorites is
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The buffet offers a great variety, and Donald Duck and his friends will be on hand for some hugs and safari photos.
Rachel, I think we've got a good start on planning your upcoming trip, so let's take a break for now. Feel free to stop back by with any questions, and
I'll be happy to help you plan. As Ursula said, it's what I do; it's what I live for! Uh-oh. Another movie reference!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
