Hey Angela! Thanks for stopping by planDisney!
Can I just say I'm very jealous of you right now? My best friend and I have taken countless vacations to Walt Disney World Resort together but since we both have little ones at home now it's gotten much harder to nail down some plans. I can't wait until our whole crew can finally set something in stone and make it back to The Most Magical Place on Earth altogether. You're going to have such an amazing time with your best friend and daughter on the same trip!
First of all, I think the timing of your stay is practically perfect in every way. October weather is usually beautiful, the Parks don't seem too, too crowded because students have just gone back to school and there is extra seasonal fun and magic popping up all over the Resort. During this time you and your party will be able to experience the tasty delights that will have popped up all over EPCOT for the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Not only will there be food from around the world but also live music and even a scavenger hunt,
Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak, for the kids!
If you're lucky you might also snag Special Event tickets to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! This event, held at Magic Kingdom, hosts special shows, fireworks, and even
Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade on select nights between August 12 and October 31. If you're interested I would suggest grabbing your tickets as soon as possible because they can sell out!
To start your planning process I would suggest heading to the Walt Disney World Resort website and browsing the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. With over 25 Resorts to choose from you and your friend might want to settle on the most appealing theme or which Resort category best fits your budget. If you all want to stay together you might think about a Family Suite at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These suites sleep six adults comfortably, and even include a kitchenette and extra bathroom! If you're looking for two separate rooms that feel "Deluxe" but are on a more modest budget I would definitely look into the Gran Destino Tower at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I just stayed here in May and was blown away by the beauty of the entire Resort. The kids will also really enjoy
The Lost City of Cibola Pool, which boasts a 123-foot-long waterslide!
Once you've chosen your Resort and selected your Room Type you'll be prompted to add on
Theme Park Tickets on the next webpage. Here you'll be able to decide how many days you want to spend in the Parks and whether you want to add on other options like the
Park Hopper Option. By the end of your selections, you'll have a price for your Guest room and Theme Park Tickets for your vacation!
Happy planning, and please come back and see us again with any other questions!
