Hi Mia,
Welcome to planDisney! Not only does escaping to sunny Florida for some Disney magic and fun in late January sounds like an awesome idea to me, but the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will be going on then, so I think it sounds supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
While you
can buy two separate
tickets - one with the
Park Hopper Option and one without, I wouldn't recommend doing that. Please feel free to price it out, but generally speaking, the longer the ticket, the lower the cost per day. It should be more cost-effective to buy one longer ticket and have the Park Hopper Option added to all your days. That doesn't mean you
have to hop each day, though; simply that you could if you wanted to.
Once you've purchased your ticket, you'll want to
link it to your My Disney Experience account if that doesn't happen automagically. Once your ticket is linked, you'll be able to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations. You'll want to make a reservation for the first park you plan on visiting and actually enter that park, then you'll be able to start hopping any time after 2:00 PM, pending any capacity limitations.
I hope this helps as you're building your itinerary, Mia. Thanks so much for visiting us at planDisney, and please let us know if you have any other questions. I hope you have a truly magical vacation next January!
