Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Dan! I'd be happy to help!
Although it faces some pretty stiff competition in
EPCOT,
La Cantina de San Angel is a family favorite, and it serves up some muy delicioso Mexican fare! Since I like to round my Mouseketeers up in the wee hours to rope drop
Test Track or
Soarin' Around the World, we usually start getting a "Rumbly in our Tumbly" pretty early. Even though the hours aren't currently posted, in my experience La Cantina de San Angel typically opens with the rest of the World Showcase at 11:00 AM, and we are always some of the first guests in line.
Because it is a Quick-Service location, you'll place your lunch order at the window, before finding your table; this location has outdoor tables with a nice view of the World Showcase Lagoon. However, many guests don't realize that they often open up the back of
La Hacienda de San Angel's dining room for air-conditioned seating. For us, this is a welcome respite from the Florida sun (the Frozen Mango Margaritas help, too)! The Taco Trio is always a solid choice, but on my last visit, I ventured out and tried the Pollo Cascabel bowl, which was covered in a super flavorful sauce and tasted very fresh and healthy. Of course, Disney calories don't count, so we make it a tradition by ordering a side of Churros with Caramel Sauce. If you want to eat even earlier,
Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe and
Les Halles Boulangerie and Patisserie usually open to guests as early as 9:00 AM, offering pastries and coffee.
I hope you have a magical vacation, Dan! See ya' again real soon!
