Hello Chasity!
Welcome to planDisney! I appreciate having a good travel plan, and getting everything booked and ready to go. It looks like you are going in April, and if that is the case, I would recommend you book your plans as soon as possible.
While Disney does offer packages that include a stay in a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel and theme park tickets, you would need to book flights and rental cars separately. What I would recommend is that you consider using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner if you would like someone to take care of all the details for you. Authorized Disney Vacation Planners are independent travel agents and agencies that are specially educated in Disney Vacations and can help you navigate booking a complete vacation. Many folks assume that using a travel agent costs additional, but it does not! Your Disney Resort Room and
Disney Theme Park Tickets have the same price if you book them yourself through Disney or if you use a Travel Agent, so consider using one of these services. Authorized Disney Vacation Planners can also help you navigate the current Special Offers that may be available and calculate which one will be the best deal for your family. A quick search of your favorite internet browser for the term Authorized Disney Vacation Planner should yield several companies to choose from!
If you wish to book yourself, begin by checking the
Special Offers Page to see if there are any that apply to your visit. You can book your room and tickets through the My Disney Experience Website. I see you are a fellow Hoosier, and I’m not sure where in Indiana you are from, but I prefer traveling on Southwest Airlines either out of Chicago Midway or Indianapolis, and for the rental car I find the best deals via my Costco Membership.
A word of caution for you, Chasity. In addition to a purchased Disney Theme Park Ticket, Guests must make a complimentary
Disney Park Pass Reservation for each day they plan to visit a theme park. You should check the
Theme Park Availability Calendar for your dates before you make a decision to travel and before you purchase Theme Park Tickets. Having a Ticket and staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel does not guarantee theme park entry, you must have that Park Pass Reservation. Many days at the end of April and into May show availability for Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but many days are already booked for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While more days may open up, it is also possible they may not, and other parks may fill. Please keep this in mind as you decide to book, and if you do book, be sure to reserve your Disney Park Pass Reservations right away for the best availability.
I hope this helps with your planning, Chasity. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
