Hi Shelley!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! The occasions I have been able to experience afternoon tea with my mom are special memories for me. I think taking your daughters sounds like a fantastic idea. What a great way to create unforgettable Disney moments!
Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Room is a lovely location for some mother and daughter time. Little ones ages 3 to 9 can even order the special Mrs. Potts Tea, especially designed for younger Guests. This includes assorted child friendly tea sandwiches, a jam tart, pastries and a very special “dark tea,” which they may recognize as chocolate milk. Actual tea may also be ordered for a small additional fee. I think that most young ladies would enjoy this special event, but ultimately, you know your children best.
You may want to make the afternoon even more special with a few extras of your own. You could surprise them with the event, and create an actual invitation to be given either when they wake up that morning, or just before you are preparing to depart. I think it would be fun to dress up for the occasion too. To add an extra element of excitement, you could present each girl with a small gift to be worn. A small necklace, fancy hats, or even dress up white gloves would make it even more fun. Of course, be sure to take photos to capture your special time together.
If you haven’t already, I recommend making an Advance Dining Reservation for this experience. Afternoon Tea has become very popular! I hope you have a truly magical Walt Disney World vacation, and a lovely time with your daughters!
