I have been looking online for Park Hopper passes. Is it cheaper to buy them online before heading down or buying them in Florida?

You might be able to save a few dollars at some sites, but it won't likely be a big savings.  I buy them online in advance mostly because it is more convenient -- I don't want to have to wait in any line to buy them once I arrive.

    A few warnings:
    - Be sure to buy them from a reliable source.  It is impossible to tell if a ticket is valid until you get to a park entrance and try to use it (or you can check at guest services).  An expired or used ticket looks exactly the same as a valid ticket, since all the info is maintained in the ticket's magnetic strip.
    - Make sure when you are comparing costs, that the quoted price includes taxes.  Some online sellers advertise their prices without taxes.
    - For some Disney Resort room discounts you need to buy a "vacation package."  In these cases you save a lot of money buying your tickets from Disney (again, their prices are close, or the same, as other online sources anyway) because it allows you to also apply a discount code when you reserve a room with tickets ("tickets + room" qualifies as a vacation package).
