Welcome to planDisney, Ashley!
Although it may feel overwhelming because there’s so much magic to experience, let’s take a moment to cheer you on, as you’ve already taken the first step to begin planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Hooray! I hope you end up loving the planning process as much as I do; after all, planning a trip is the next best thing to being on the trip!
Before we begin, if you’re looking for someone who can book the entire vacation, including your Disney Resort hotel stay, dining reservations, and park pass reservations, you may want to contact an Authorized Disney Vacation Travel Agent. You can find them via a quick search on the internet. However, if you’re interested in planning the vacation, you’ve come to the right place because planDisney is an excellent guide in helping you with advice, tips, and tricks for your upcoming Disney vacation! Be sure to follow us on
Instagram and listen to the
podcast, as we also love sharing lots of information there!
First, you will want to think about the dates of your vacation. Once you have those down, you may want to consider booking a
Vacation Package, including a Disney Resort hotel stay and theme park tickets. You can plug in your dates to see what fits your budget. A Vacation Package also allows you to put a deposit down (prices are subject to change) and make payments at your own pace as long as the final payment is made 30 days before your arrival.
There are some great
benefits to staying at a Disney Resort hotel, from the proximity to the theme parks to the transportation provided to and from them, as well as the
Early Theme Park Entry for Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels and other select hotels. It’s my favorite thing about my Disney vacation!
Next, you’ll want to create your
My Disney Experience account and download the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. Once you have your account made, you’ll be able to purchase and link your reservation to yourself. It’ll also be your guiding tool as you make or modify your hotel or dining reservations, link theme park tickets, and more.
There are
four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Each offers awesome experiences, and all are so very different. I recommend doing your research on all four to see what you find most exciting in all of them. And if you want to visit only a few during this trip, that’s fine too!
If possible, you may also want to consider a rest day during your vacation. Visiting the theme parks can get exhausting, and squeezing in a pool day towards the middle of the trip does wonders for those achy feet!
Of course, if you need more information or would like to speak to a friendly Cast Member, please don’t hesitate to call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, and they will be happy to help you further.
Wishing you happy planning, Ashley!
