Looking at the Nautilus semi-sub boat ride & snorkel port adventure in Grand Cayman. Are life vests supplied for children, or should we bring our own?

Welcome aboard, Victoria! The Nautilus Undersea Tour and Reef Snorkel is a fabulous adventure for your family while in Grand Cayman.

Grand Cayman is a beautiful spot in the Caribbean and we've enjoyed many adventures there. The water is crystal clear, so it's the perfect place to snorkel and enjoy the underwater sea life!

All of the snorkel gear, including the required life vest, is included in this adventure. There may be different vests available for children too, but the vests I've seen on this adventure are usually the type that you can manually inflate or deflate so that they offer the exact amount of flotation you'd like. It's nice that the adults can deflate a bit more so you're able to dive down under the water, where the kids might like to keep theirs more inflated allowing them to more easily float on the surface as they observe the fish. If you feel more comfortable with your kids wearing their own vests, bring them. Your guide may ask you to put a deflated vest on top of that child vest, as sometimes they like to have those on just so everyone is easy to spot with those yellow vests, but you might have to find out once you arrive. Either way, your kids will have floatation devices to keep them safe while you snorkel.

I hope those details help as you continue planning! Stop back again if you have other questions, Victoria! Happy planning!
