Welcome, John, to planDisney! You’ve come to the right place for your question.
November is a fun time to visit the
Disneyland Resort. The weather is generally cool and breezy, the décor is the best of the year in my opinion, and the themed entertainment is incredible.
If you are debating between the week before Thanksgiving (November 14 – 18) or the week after Thanksgiving (November 28 – December 2), honestly, both are great options, and I don’t think you will see too much of a difference crowd-wise with either choice. The week before Thanksgiving is typically the first week of the
Holidays at Disneyland Resort, and I usually see a slight uptick in attendance that week. The same applies to the week after Thanksgiving, when people may be holding out to see holiday-themed décor until Thanksgiving has passed. Therefore, the crowds may be about the same either week.
I recommend not basing your decision on crowds and focusing on other factors, such as airline flight and hotel prices. Also, if you are hoping for an increased likelihood of holiday-themed entertainment, you may have more luck the week after Thanksgiving, but I don’t think the difference will be too significant, if any.
I am sure that whichever week you choose, it will be a magical experience! If there is anything else we can help you with, please bring more questions to planDisney – we would be thrilled to help.
Happy planning,
Lola
