Looking to come mid June and have narrowed down for our family of 5 (me, hubby, and 3 young boys) either PO-Riverside or Cabins at Ft Wilderness. I can't decide between the two and wonder what the pros/cons are aside from what I see in the overviews.

Hi Meredith! What a great dilemma you're in as you can't lose with either choice. I love the location of both. Port Orleans Riverside is a boat ride to Downtown Disney, which we tend to visit quite often.

Having three young boys, you might appreciate the setting and location of Fort Wilderness more. You're a boat ride to the Magic Kingdom, which is beyond handy!  Another plus about the cabins is the additional space. You'll enjoy a separate bedroom, kitchen and eating area. There is also a deck with a barbeque. All of this will come in very handy, whether you choose to have breakfast, dinner or even snacks in the room. Growing up, I loved staying at Fort Wilderness, especially the campfire singalong and fireside movies, which they still have nightly.

Hope this helps in your decision-making Meredith!
