Hey there, Melanie! Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with such a great question.
Well, you are definitely someone after my own Disney-planning heart. I will also be at Walt Disney World for Thanksgiving, and guess what restaurants are on my must-do list for this trip ... You guessed it! Narcoossee's and Steakhouse 71! I'm more than happy to answer your question to help make sure that your magical holiday adventure is filled with food and fun.
I think you'll be happy to hear that
Steakhouse 71 has posted some information on their Thanksgiving Day menu on their website, and it sounds absolutely delicious. They will be serving a turkey dinner, complete with mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, gravy, cranberry gel, green beans, and shiitake mushrooms. And the best part? Pumpkin pie with cinnamon chantilly. Mmmm. They also mention that some select items from the regular dinner menu will be available, so some of your regular favorites might be available, as well!
Unfortunately, when it comes to whether Narcoossee's or many of the other restaurants will offer a Thanksgiving menu, my short answer is that we don't know yet. They may, but they may not. Trust me, I understand that not knowing in advance can be painful for us planners, but in my experience at Walt Disney World during Thanksgiving week, finding the menus in advance online has proven to be a challenge. While some restaurants, such as Steakhouse 71, already have their Thanksgiving Day offerings listed, in my experience, many restaurants don't post their modified menus online, even when special holiday fare may be offered. The chefs may still be working their magic!
I recommend keeping a close eye on
the Narcoossee's page on the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app to see if a modified Thanksgiving menu is mentioned as your vacation approaches. And if not, I recommend stopping by the restaurant to check the menu once you arrive. The Cast Members will be more than happy to fill you in on any special Thanksgiving fare they may be offering on the big day.
I suggest searching for "Thanksgiving" in the search bar on the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app to find which restaurants have listed their Thanksgiving menu for this year. Currently, you can see what delicious dishes will be offered at
Sanaa,
Whispering Canyon Cafe, Steakhouse 71,
Ale & Compass Restaurant, and
Olivia's Cafe. And of course, scrumptious Thanksgiving-style menu items are offered year-round at
Liberty Tree Tavern and
The Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom. Enjoy your festive feast, Melanie!
I hope this helps, Melanie, and I hope you have the most magical vacation and Thanksgiving! Please feel free to stop by any time with any questions you may have along the way. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon,
Mandy
