Looking for information about meet and greets as part of the platinum cheer squad for marathons in Jan and Feb. How does that work? Where are they? What can I expect?

    Hi Scott!

Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The ChEAR Squad Platinum Package is a great experience offered during both Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend and Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend!

As part of the ChEAR Squad Platinum Package you'll have an exclusive Character Experience within the VIP Race Retreat. The VIP Race Retreat is a private hospitality tent located close to the Finish Line. Inside you'll have a live video feed of the finish line, a post-race brunch and a unique Character Experience. You'll usually find a group of related characters from one Disney classic that rotate throughout the morning. In my experience, there is usually a very short queue, with most times having no queue at all for these characters. The Character Experience is a surprise and not released prior to the event. To give you an idea of some of the characters from past years, runners one weekend were able to take photos with some of your favorites from The Princess and the Frog, including Tiana, Naveen, Louis and Dr. Facilier, another weekend experienced some familiar faces from Beauty and the Beast including Belle, Beast, Chip, Lumiere and Cogsworth, and other weekends have included characters from Pinocchio! Who knows who runDisney will have in store for us in 2018?!

Please come back and let me know if you have any other questions!
