    Hi looking for an honest opinion on entire dining experiences at Yachtsman Steakhouse and Captains Grille. Family of four --kids are teens-- and can be picky.

    Having just had the opportunity to dine at both Yachtsman Steakhouse and Captains Grille, AND having teens, I believe I can lend some authority to this answer. 

    It completely depends on the experience you are looking for.  If you want a fine dining experience, featuring the best cuts of beef, fresh seafood,  an extensive wine list and an upscale ambiance, then Yachtsman Steakhouse is definitely a must do.  It has a well deserved reputation for offering the best steak experience on Disney property, and offers guests the opportunity to experience hand-cut steaks and a large open kitchen, where seasonal flavors come together.

    If you are seeking a casual experience, something more laid back, then I would suggest Captains Grille.  The food is very good, and the ambiance lends itself more to a family setting.  The variety on the menu will appeal to teens as well as adults, and they do offer a prix fix menu, which features some of their more popular entrees.

    Personally, we chose Captains Grille when my children were younger.  It was a better fit for them, ambiance wise, and they enjoyed their childrens meal..  As they and their palate have matured, they've requested their dining reservations, and we chose Yachtsman.  They are steak lovers, and were very happy with their dining experience there, and I felt they could handle the upscale experience better once they were older.
