Hi! I am looking at getting the dining plan on our next trip to WDW but I was wondering what are the rules about ordering a kids meal if you are lets say 26 years old :) Big meals are a lot of food for me and don't want to waste money or food.

    Hi Jennifer,

Your question is one that many guests ask when trying to decide on whether to purchase the Walt Disney Dining Plan or not. This is especially true for guests with smaller appetites or tweens. I know it is one reason I often pass on the Disney Dining Plan is because of the amount of food you receive.

If you were traveling with a child under nine, you might have more luck  making a switch. You could order the child's meal and s/he could have the adult meal. However, if you are traveling solo or only with other adults, you will not have this option.

I will say that portion are not as large as you may think. However, you do have the appetizers and desserts that accompany the meal.

If this is a concern for you, then order a la carte for your meals where you would have more ability to control portions as well as the price.

    Have a magical day!
