Looking for gender reveal ideas no one in our family knows the gender it is sealed in an envelope. We plan to have the reveal on August 30th at the Coral Reef res. all set. Just need some ideas

Hi, Dawn!  I love the gender reveal surprises people are doing!  People are so clever with their reveal!  Friends of mine even had Santa deliver the message to their families through the picture with Santa thing at the mall!

Are you going to know the gender of your baby?  I'm assuming you are, and the reveal is just for your family.  There are so many ways you can do this.  My first suggestion would be to get tiny Mickey Mouse ears, which can be found in pink or blue in the theme parks.  You could also get the traditional black, but on the back, have it embroidered with the gender of your baby.

You'll also find a bunch of boy or girl specific plush animals, onesies, and other layette needs.  You could purchase something gender specific, and let your family unwrap the surprise at dinner.

I have seen parents-to-be hold up a sign when they have their photo snapped with Mickey Mouse that indicates whether their baby is a boy or a girl.  In your case, you might take the picture earlier in your trip, then either print the picture at one of the business centers at a resort or merely open the picture on an iPad or iPhone at the restaurant.

For a princess, you might present the table with a tiara, which can be found at many gift shops throughout Walt Disney World; or you could even buy a pink or blue Mickey ears balloon that you could keep in a bag or box until the big reveal.

I hope you'll send us a note back to let us know how you did it - and also whether our new mousketeer is a boy or a girl!  Congratulations and best wishes!
