Hi Andrea! Walt Disney World is a wonderful place to celebrate a birthday, and there are lots of great restaurants both in and out of the parks.
Consider a character meal at
Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. Mickey and friends will stop by the table, and the buffet has lots of items to please both adults and kids. Your five-year-old will love the make-your-own sundae bar!
The
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Fort Wilderness is a rollicking good time and the entertainers really fawn over guests celebrating special occasions. The country style food is tasty, and the show is so funny and entertaining. If you go to the early show, you could hang around the Fort to take in Chip'n'Dale's Campfire Sing-a-Long followed by a movie under the stars.
If your son likes dinosaurs, the
T-Rex Cafe in Downtown Disney would be a big hit with him. The restaurant features lots of kid-friendly foods on the menu and large audio-animatronic prehistoric creatures.
Hope your son's birthday is magical! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
