Ahoy, Kristina!
I'm so excited that you will be spending five nights aboard the Disney Magic and celebrating "Halloween on the High Seas"!
On your 5-Night cruise, you can expect two nights of
cruise casual attire, which simply means no tank tops or swimwear in the main dining rooms. There will also be one optional dress-up night, where you might see some of your fellow passengers dressed to the nines, in ball gowns and tuxedos (my outfits of choice for sure!). You will also see cruisers in cruise casual attire on this evening, and pretty much everything in between. It is nice to be able to choose whether or not you want to have a formal night.
The last two nights on your cruise will be Pirate Night and Halloween Night. On both of these nights, you will see so many great costumes! My favorite evening on any Disney Cruise Line vacation is Pirate Night for sure! I love to get out my pirate-y best outfit, and my husband's pirate costume even has a parrot for his shoulder! (The parrot's name is MAAARvin) On Halloween Night, expect the costumes to be abundant! We had so much fun on our Halloween on the High Seas cruises in 2013 and 2014.
As long as you have the correct outfits packed, it truly doesn't matter which night things fall on. Typically, your first and last nights are NOT Halloween or Pirate Night. If you are trying to book Palo, the adult-exclusive restaurant, for a night that is not Halloween, you might try calling DCL directly at 800-951-3532 to inquire which night is which. Keep in mind that it is always subject to change once you are onboard. Last year, our Southern Caribbean cruise itinerary was altered due to weather.
Your MAGICal cruise is right around the corner! Have a great time!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
