While I know this isn’t what you wanted to hear, A Story of Celebration holds such nostalgia as you listen to the Cast Member detail Walt’s true vision for the park. Walking in his footsteps evokes such an awe-inspiring feeling that makes you feel that doing the impossible really can be possible.
If you’re looking for a tour to do instead, the
Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour is a great alternative to what you had in mind. This 90-minute tour takes you on a special journey through one of Walt’s many passions, railroads, and his vision for them at Disneyland. My favorite part of this tour is being able to climb aboard the Disneyland Railroad’s special Presidential Car, the Lilly Belle, a highlight for any Disney or railroad enthusiast!
If you’re still looking to get a glimpse of what Walt’s apartment looked like back in the day, across the way, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln shares the stage with
Walt Disney – A Magical Life. Featured in the lobby is a small replica of his apartment adorned with original artifacts selected by The Walt Disney Family Museum. This is a wonderful show that details the life of Walt Disney, told by none other than the man himself!
