Hi! I am looking forward to celebrating New Year's Eve on the Disney Dream! I see that there will be special NYE celebrations. I also wanted to know if the ship will still be decorated for Christmas. Thank You!

Welcome aboard, Holly! This year you'll be counting down the last minutes of 2017 and celebrating the start of 2018 at sea with Disney Cruise Line! It's always fun to sail with Disney, but a special event like this makes the cruise even more magical!

The last of the Dream's 2017 Very Merrytime sailings is the cruise right before yours, so you will not be on a Very Merrytime cruise itinerary. It's truly amazing how quickly the Cast Members can transform the ship from no decorations to fully decked, and back again. That being said, you may still have a few Christmas decorations up on your sailing. In the past few years, I believe the atrium was still decked with the huge Christmas tree for photos, which makes a festive atmosphere, even at New Year's. There will still be tons of fabulous photo opportunities all over the ship. One of the little known photo spots that my family and I like to take pictures is on the walking track of Deck Four. It's a great spot with the bright yellow lifeboats hanging and the sea as a backdrop! Plus, of course, your favorite Disney friends will be out and about throughout your sailing for Meet and Greets.

So, Christmas decor or not, you're in for such an exciting experience on this sailing, Holly! Have a fabulous cruise!
