Ahoy, Charlene!
It is wonderful to hEAR from you again! I can't think of a better way to celebrate your mom's 85th birthday than on a Disney Cruise! It is truly a vacation for Guests of all ages. You'll want to have her birthday noted on your cruise reservation so your dining servers can recognize her at dinner, and you'll also want to stop by
Guest Services on Deck 3 to pick up a birthday button for her to wear. If you would like to celebrate with stateroom decorations or a birthday cake, be sure to check out the
Gift and Amenities section of the Disney Cruise Line website for fun options to purchase for your mom.
I reached out to Disney Cruise Line about your question and was informed that wheelchairs are only available for Guests during the embarkation and debarkation process. The only wheelchairs onboard are for emergencies only. Guests who need wheelchairs during their cruise vacation can rent one from a Medical Supply Vendor that delivers to your departure port. If it doesn't fit in your mom's stateroom, there are designated locations around the ship that it can be stored when she doesn't need it.
Charlene, we thank you for continuing to use the Disney Parks Moms Panel for your vacation questions and hope you'll come back to "sea" us as you continue to plan!
Have a WONDERful day!
Nancy
