Greetings, Jennifer!
As a self-proclaimed Disney adult, this question resonates with me. Thank you for stopping by planDisney! I can't wait to get to my favorite Disney Resort Hotel recommendations.
It sounds cliché, but you really can't go wrong with any hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection. There is truly a place to call "home" no matter what you prefer in a hotel. I am going to do my best to limit it to just a few of my favorites and highlight each of the Resort Hotel categories: Value, Moderate and Deluxe.
If you are spending time at the resort, I suggest either a moderate or a deluxe as you will find the most activities and dining experiences. These levels of resort also have more than just a pool bar to enjoy a couple of cocktails. If you prefer a value resort I suggest Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
The Drop Off Pool Bar has quite a bit of bar seating and offers light meals and snacks.
As far as the moderate category goes, I recommend Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort offers many dining locations including Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood,
Three Bridges Bar and Grill at Villa del Lago,
Rix Sports Bar & Grill,
Dahlia Lounge,
Barcelona Lounge, Siestas Cantina, Maya Grill and Laguna Bar. There are also several resort activities such as the
Colors of Coronado Painting Experience,
a Spanish Mosaic Art class, or
Sangria University. My mom and I attended Sangria University a few trips ago and it was great! You'll learn about the origins of sangria, sample different types and even have the opportunity to create your own.
For a deluxe resort, I suggest either Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, or Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's hard to narrow down the choices, but I picked each of these for specific reasons depending on your vacation preference!
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is my favorite deluxe resort and the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful vacation. I love sitting on my balcony and watching the animals. There are also several delicious dining options and lounges to enjoy. If you want a more active stay,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort offers a great location to enjoy the entertainment of
Disney's BoardWalk. Last, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort offers incredible dining locations and lounges including the famous
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. It also offers you the chance to view Magic Kingdom Park fireworks.
I hope this list helps you plan your stay, Jennifer. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Magical Wishes,
Lauren
