Hi! Looking at dinner reservations for my 2019 trip! Do I only need a res if we want a sit down, formal-ish dinner? We've secured CRT and BOG, but I don't see us eating a huge meal every night. Is there usually a long wait for other options?

    Dear Jocelyn,

Thank you so much for stopping by to see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your terrific question about planning ahead for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

You must be starting to get very excited about your trip! My family frequently does not make an Advanced Dining Reservation for every day of our stay, because we don't like to be held to too much of a schedule. We also don't feel the need to have a large meal every day either, and it definitely saves time to utilize Quick-Service options at times as well.

There is such a wide variety of Quick-Service options at the Walt Disney World Resort that you will never feel that you're missing out. Of course at times there are lines at some of the Quick-Service locations, but honestly Walt Disney World Resort does such a great job of managing crowds and lines that you never really feel that you've waited for very long. Have you considered Mobile Ordering as an option? That can save so much time!

Additionally, if you're concerned about nutrition, there is a great deal of choice in terms of food as well, including many very healthy (and delicious!) options. Our family loves to balance the healthier choices with some treats in moderation.

Hope that helps with your magical planning!
