I have been looking at the different options of the dining plans. Are the buffet restaurants at the resorts classed as waiter service or quick serve? This would give me an idea of which plan is best to go for. Thanks

    Emma,

    Thanks for your question!

There are so many fantastic buffet restaurants around Walt Disney World! My kids have always listed breakfast at the Tusker House Restaurant as their Number 1 choice of places we have to go to on every visit! My wife and I love that, because while it has all the classic breakfast dishes that our kids want to eat, we can get some innovative Indian and African-inspired choices as well. Other favorites include 1900 Park Fare and the
    Biergarten Restaurant

To answer your question, buffet restaurants are listed as Table Service, not Quick Service meals. So if you are using a Disney Dining Plan, you will want to be sure it is one that has those credit options. The only one that would not be a good choice in this instance would be the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan, as you would not have any of the needed Table Service credits. While it is true that you go up to get your own food, the serving cast members here not only work hard to make your meal special, but they have always been so great with our kids. We have had many a server that made our day with how they interact with our family.

Write me back if you need some other dining recommendations.

Have a Magical (and delicious) Vacation!

    Doug
